Following is a series of test results, conducted in Germany, on the EuroVision windows.

Test pressure was 600 Pa. Length related result was 0.2m3/(h.m) both before and after wind load. Area related result was 0.56m3/(h.m2) before wind load and 0.6m3/(h.m2)

Requirement of test included:-
  • Test/compressive stress: pressure impacts Pv = 1760 Pa (3x)
  • Deflection P1=1600Pa; Repetitive pressure P2=800Pa; Safety Test P3=2400Pa
Outcome was no inadmissable deflections at frame parts, no damages, no functional defects, no permanent deformation!

Shock Resistance - hard and soft shocks DIN EN 13049 Category C4
Requirement of test included:-
  • Test/load:
    • Category 1-4; Height of fall 150mm to 450mm; air pressure 2.0 to 3.0 bar. Required no displacement of shifts or wings, no loosening of coatings or retainer devices for filling elements and no displacement or removal of individual elements. 1 impact load each to the centre of the window (closing area).
  • Result:
    • Specimen 1: - deformation of the closing pieces and the scissors which increases together with the test load, functional defect of the coating system after impact load in category 4 - clicking out of place of the scissors, displacement of the wing in the mark frame.
    • Specimen 2: - slight deformation of the closing pieces and the scissors, no damages/destructions

Test looked at frame, glazing and the window. Individual components comprised:
  • Glazing 1.1 W/(m2K). Length related heat passage coefficient 0.04 W/(mK)
  • Frame 1.56 W/(m2K). Length related surface heat flux qf= 14.32W/m
